OSU UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN

Each year, OSU is one of United Way of Payne County's top donors. Thanks to dedicated employees, campaign coordinators and campaign chairs, we are able to strive toward a future where every person in every community can reach their full potential. This year, OSU's campaign goal is $330,000!

By donating or pledging through payroll deduction, one-time credit card payments, or fundraisers throughout campus, you can change the lives of countless individuals in Payne County.

CAMPAIGN KICKOFF

Join your fellow campaign coordinators and campaign chairs at Oklahoma State University's campaign kickoff on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 11 a.m. — 1 p.m. in the Wes Watkins Center. This event is the beginning of many OSU fundraisers and workplace campaigns, designed to rally individuals to raise vital funds for a our community.

Fundraisers are engaging, team-building activities that encourage employees to donate to United Way of Payne County while creating lasting memories with their coworkers. Visit our Campaign Toolkit for event ideas. Add your event to the OSU Events Calendar! Select “UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN” way down at the bottom of the Localist form when a new event is submitted.

Participate In Events
Join your departments committee, volunteer to help with events, or participate in fundraisers across campus. Each of us can make a difference for a neighbor — but when we come together, we can make change for all. When you participate in fundraisers you are directly helping improve lives in Payne County

3 WAYS TO GIVE TO UNITED WAY

Employees can enter payroll deductions, bill me or bank draft online through Banner self-service at my.okstate.edu. Employees will not turn in pledge cards for payroll deductions, bill me or bank draft.

Employees can make a one-time or recurring credit or debit card payment on the United Way of Payne County website. Please ensure you choose "Workplace Campaign" when asked for "Type of Gift."

Any cash or checks, either from employee donations or fundraising events, must be collected by the department's United Way coordinator and deposited. Please refer to the OSU deposit procedures below.

OSU Deposit Procedures

Deposit Form

2026-2027_OSU-Deposit-Form.xlsx

Each Department/Captain is responsible for collecting pledge cards and/or funds collected for the United Way.

All contributions should be coordinated through the departmental captain or area coordinator. Click the link above to download the deposit form Excel file. (See all three tabs.)

Completing the Deposit Form

The deposit form must be completed for all United Way pledges (including fundraisers) submitted with cash or checks. Enter the date of the donation and the employee’s Banner ID/CWID and the amount received. If your donor wishes to remain anonymous, include the Banner ID for that individual on the deposit form but indicate that they wish to remain anonymous.

Fundraisers must be listed on the deposit form with name of fundraiser and department organization number, not by an individual name/Banner ID. Add the total cash and checks collected and enter that onto the form.  A completed FR Check Listing or adding machine tape must be included that equals the check total. Fundraiser amounts will be attributed to the department sponsoring the event, not the individual participants.

Any fundraising dollars collected through the United Way website, scan to pay QR codes, or other online form do not need to be recorded on your deposit form. These will be automatically processed and applied to your fundraising totals.

Making the Deposit

With each deposit, an electronic copy of the deposit form should be emailed to Lynette Marvin (lynette.marvin@okstate.edu).  The email subject should be “UW deposit <<deposit date>> – <<Department>>”

For the collected cash and checks, the following must be included:

  • Prepare the cash/checks as you would any deposit: cash by denominations and separated from checks.
  • A copy of the deposit form emailed above.  Total deposit should equal the sum of the cash and checks.
  • United Way pledge cards for all individual donations.
  • Fundraising FR check listing (see tab on deposit form) or adding machine tape that equals total amount of checks on the deposit form.
  • Loose coin exceeding $1.00 must be converted to currency, prior to making a deposit. Simmons Bank (basement of Student Union) has agreed to do this at no charge. Simply let them know it is for the United Way campaign.

Deposits can be dropped off Monday – Friday 9:00AM – 4:30PM at The Office of the Associate Vice President for Finance, located at 207 Whitehurst. Please note that deposits delivered on Fridays will be included in the following weeks reports.

Your deposit must be verified while the deliverer is present. All cash, checks and pledge cards should be stored in a locked, safe place until delivered. Deposits should be delivered no later than the next available drop off time. If you need to make arrangements for a different drop off time please contact Lynette Marvin at lynette.marvin@okstate.edu or call (405) 744-4188.

United Way of Payne County accepts credit card donations via Venmo, PayPal, Square and/or our online webform on the United Way of Payne County website.

PLEASE NOTE: Donors need to include the Org Code/event name in payment notes for your division to receive credit.
